What are Sequins & Beads?

Sequins and beads are surface embellishments that provide colour and sparkle to garments, especially used during the festive collections. There are different types of sequins, including beads, and circular flakes, all varying in size. They can be hand-sewn and machine-sewn. These delicate embellishments may loosen or fall off over time due to wear and handling.

The placement of sequins in machine-sewn sequin fabrics may vary from item to item because we cannot control the placement of motifs. To minimise discomfort caused by plastic sequin edges, we thoughtfully and manually pick out the extra pieces of sequins in sensitive areas.

Be mindful of surfaces that sequins may rub on, e.g., upholstery, bags, and outerwear.

HOW TO WASH SEQUIN GARMENTS

1.Wash before wearing, inside out, with similar colours.

2.Before washing, gently dab stains with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid rubbing to prevent damaging the embellishments.

3.Hand wash: For the best results and prolong its lifespan, turn the garment inside out and gently hand wash.

4.Machine wash: Use a delicate cycle with cold water. Always turn the garment inside out and place it in a laundry net to avoid snagging with other clothes and prevent the sequins & beads from dropping into the laundry drum.

5.Avoid overloading the machine to reduce friction with itself and with other items.

6.Do not bleach.

HOW TO DRY SEQUIN GARMENTS

1.Spread your sequinned piece out flat on a towel and air dry.

2.Do not use a tumble dryer as the sequins could melt or come loose.

3.Do not wring or twist the garment.

HOW TO STORE SEQUIN GARMENTS

1.Do not pile while damp.

2.Avoid ironing directly at all costs.

3.To smooth out wrinkles, use a steamer and avoid direct contact between the steam plate and the fabric.

4.Once dry, store the garment in a breathable garment bag. Avoid stacking or hanging it with other clothes to prevent snagging or damage from friction.

NOTE: "Each design may have specific care needs based on its construction or the fabric blend. Always refer to the care label for detailed instructions, as requirements may vary depending on the material composition."
