Tell us about yourself.
Hello! I am Limzy, I am a visual artist and illustrator. I am also the co-founder and creative director of my namesake label, Love Limzy Co. I used to focus mainly on flowers and watercolor, but recently my creativity direction has gone pretty multi-dimensional.
What inspired you to embark in your current endeavour?
I believe it’s my love of creating, my curiosity to learn more, and my unwillingness to be content at one point, as I am always seeking one baby step forward to improve myself. After graduating from an art college in Singapore, I worked as a children’s art teacher, and later an art gallery assistant. Though in the similar industry, they felt like just another 9-5 jobs to me and I was not being creative. Hence I started to figure out how to post my creations, mainly my artworks of ladies with floral dresses, on Instagram and Facebook, and clients from local and overseas started inquiring. Soon, my midnight job overweighs my daytime work and I took the leap of faith of becoming a full time freelance. And by 2018, I came back to KL to start an artand gifting company with my brother. I have not looked back ever since.

How do you stay motivated and confident? - especially considering a fair amount of movement is involved.
I love the feeling of being a better version of myself everyday. And I enjoy the process of creating something beautiful, original and practical. Now that I have a team working together, I also find myself even more motivated to work as a team, and knowing that it would push us further as compared to hustling alone.

Where/When would you see yourself wearing this outfit?
I could definitely imagine wearing this working and hustling in my studio, a sweet movie date with my fiance, sans MCO, or a girl’s night out of giggles and dinner.
Share with us your favourite dance move to unwind or even for fun!
I barely dance but I could never forget my first dance choreography at 1 Million Studio during a media trip to Seoul, Korea. I am not sure of the genre but I guess it’s hip hop. I would say painting is a movement to me, as I dance my brushstrokes on the paper, that is definitely my favorite move
