Eugenia Ye-Yeo
founder and brand owner of Nodspark
Hello, my name is Eugenia and I'm the founder and brand owner of Nodspark. We do designer nail polish wraps which allow you to transform your nails to a professionally done manicure under 15 minutes, by yourself for yourself. Being a mother of two, my time is stretched daily and these nail wraps come in handy to get my nails done in an instant. We have since launched lashes on demand for you to clip on as and when you need them. I love what I do much, can you tell?

How do you practice self-love?
Loving myself comes in many forms for me. On a fun note, it's dressing nicely (for myself), grooming (with Nodspark, no less), and carving out pockets of time to do things that feed my soul, like gardening or decluttering. On a more serious note, loving myself is taking care of my health and body- ensuring I get enough sleep, exercise, and make a conscious effort to keep my body fit.
What is one challenge you’ve faced in being comfortable in your own skin?
On the surface, one challenge since young was understanding my body, both its shape and size and to embrace it. To be honest, I am so thankful for Love Bonito, because your clothes brought a lot of confidence through well fitted styles that complement our Asian sizing from the get go. To me, a happy person is a beautiful person! I see that in so many people I am honoured to call my friends!
What is one thing you appreciate the most in your life that has helped you in this process?
In the past, I would second-guess myself if I had to present myself in front of other people, and often wondered if I was worth their attention and time. But I've since learnt to own my speech, and speak from the heart. Through pushing through those uncomfortable moments, I found growth and clarity, allowing me to settle into my own skin.

If you had to pick a Staple piece for 3 occasions in your life, what would they be?
The Quincy Square Neck Fitted Knit Tank Top. It's something I'll wear for a casual church wedding in the day, matched with a soft flowy skirt; to a kids' school carnival, matched with a denim or high waisted shorts; and most definitely, a birthday party!
Lastly, what is one advice you would give our #LBCommunity to love themselves?
Allow yourself to make mistakes. Push yourself to do difficult things. It's in those moments that you find out who you are, and what you are capable of.
