SCENT MAKER, ENTREPRENEUR & CANCER ADVOCATE
As part of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Charlene shares about her journey as a Breast Cancer survivor and how she navigated through the challenges faced.
I learned that I had breast cancer on April 08, 2019. The first few things that went through my mind - Why me? What did I do wrong? It changed my life tremendously.
I felt like giving up, especially during my chemotherapy treatment. But I always told myself that better days would come.
"Life is never smooth sailing, but no matter what adversity you are in, there is always light after darkness. Be positive and positive things will happen!"

My boob sisters who recovered from breast cancer helped me maintain my confidence. I kept telling myself that if they could do it, I could too.
Cancer taught me that life is short - rest when I need to, be happy with what I do and of course, spend time with people I truly love. I used to be a person who always said Yes, but after cancer I'm not afraid to say No.
