About Grace
Grace is a Hong Kong actress, TV host, entrepreneur and mother to two beautiful sons. She was the winner of Miss Hong Kong 2013 and Miss Chinese International 2014. Having just turned 30 last June, Grace believes she is embarking on a new journey and decade of her life – focusing more on taking care of her family and her hosting and entrepreneurial journey.
Why did you choose to launch a Capsule Collection with Love, Bonito?
Love, Bonito’s mission of empowering the everyday Asian women resonated with me. I have seen firsthand how clothes that are not only stylish but versatile can really boost my confidence as I venture through different seasons of my life, and I wanted to be able to enable other women to feel the same way through my collection as well.
Inspiration behind "The 25-Hour Wardrobe Capsule"
I wanted to dedicate this collection to the modern women of many hats by curating round-the-clock pieces for both work and play – a bodysuit and blazer for the professional career woman, casual tops and rompers for casual weekends with the family, and dressier one-pieces for the night outs.
I hope that this capsule collection can simplify our process of picking out outfits at the start of the day by incorporating picks that are classic, versatile yet chic.
The Process of Creation
For this collection, I selected some of my favourite Love, Bonito items that were constantly on repeat. I then worked closely with the team to discuss how I could change these up a little to infuse my personal style. During the process, I also had to narrow my choices to ensure that the pieces I chose were suitable for different occasions – be it for work, staying home, a date night out or weekends with the family.
Colour choices were key – I wanted to make sure while there is a pop of colour in the collection, the colours would not be overwhelming nor intimidating for women to wear on a daily basis. As such, we selected pastel colours in pinks and blues that are more muted but still chic.
Which is your favourite apparel from this collection?
If I had to choose, my favourite item would be the lilac Jayke Ruffle Tiered Max dress– and dare I say, it’s going to be everyone’s favourite piece as well. I genuinely believe that this dress is THE “must-have” item in your closet perfect for an impromptu Sunday brunch, a day at the park with your kids, or even a date night —just make sure to accessorise and pop on some heels! And don’t even get me started on that perfect purple hue… *swoon*
