For International Women's Day, Emma tells us how she #ChooseToChallenge
What do you #ChooseToChallenge?
One thing I fight for on an everyday basis is giving the youth and women chances as well as opportunities for business purposes. I believe it’s important to provide them with a platform — whether that be helping them kick-off their startup business or even helping them become CEO of companies. I strongly feel it’s important to lift these people up because any idea from anyone can be successful.
What can women do everyday to make the future a better place for women?
I believe there’s always room for improvement. One of the aspects we can focus more on is to continue empowering, respecting and lifting one another up. A tip I’d like to share in order to fight envious feelings of other people’s achievement, is to substitute that thought with praying that the person you envy, will achieve more success. This will automatically put not only yourself at a higher level of peace, but for the other person as well. Remember that you wish for is what you are.
"Continue empowering, respecting and lifting one another up"

What is one message you want to send out to younger women?
I would like to send out the message that you should believe in yourself 100% — and I mean head on, believe in yourself. Think about it, no one will ever know you like you do. This is because only you can measure your performance when doing day-to-day tasks as the many factors depend solely on you — your mood, determination etc. Firmly believe that everything you put your mind to, you can achieve as long as you see yourself at the destination you want to be.
"Believe in yourself 100% — and I mean head on, believe in yourself."

What is one piece of life advice you have to give to our #LBCommunity?
I have to say that you should always share your knowledge. Never be greedy when sharing your wisdom. Most important of all, please genuinely spend time to teach people what you know. As the saying goes, “give a wo(man) a fish, you feed her for a day. Teach a wo(man) how to fish, and you feed her for a lifetime.”
