What is Linen Blend?
Linen is a naturally derived from the fibres of the flax plant. Linen is usually blended with other fibres (like polyester, viscose) to balance its natural properties with added softness, durability, or stretch. Linen is a durable, breathable, and quick-drying fabric that provides excellent comfort in hot weather. It has a distinct natural slub texture (the uneven texture is not a defect) and a characteristic wrinkled appearance that gives it an effortless, relaxed style. Like other natural fibres (e.g. cotton) linen tends to shrink on the first wash. After the initial wash, linen usually stabilises, and further shrinkage is minimal in subsequent washes.
HOW TO WASH LINEN GARMENTS
1.Hand wash in cold water or machine wash in a gentle cycle or delicate wash setting. Please refer to the specific wash care instructions for each garment.
2.Avoid overloading the washing machine to prevent excessive wrinkling.
3.Please place the garment in the laundry net before putting it in the washing machine to prevent snagging.
4.Do not bleach.
5.Wash before wearing, inside out, with similar colours.
HOW TO DRY LINEN GARMENTS
1.Air drying is the best method to prevent shrinkage. Lay the linen garment flat or hang to dry in a shaded area.
2.Avoid wringing out linen garments after washing, as this can distort the fabric and encourage shrinkage.
3.In case of shrinkage, gently stretch the fabric and use a flat iron in a low-heat setting while damp to restore its original shape.
4.Do not tumble dry and wring.
HOW TO STORE LINEN GARMENTS
1.Ensure garments are completely dry before storing to prevent mildew or odour.
2.Folding is often recommended for linen, especially for shirts, pants, and sweaters. Hanging linen garments for long periods can cause them to stretch, leading to misshapen shoulders or sagging.
3.Store linen garments in a cool, dry, and dark place. Exposure to sunlight can cause fading, so keep items in a closet or storage area away from direct light.
4.Do not stack while damp.
